Citadel Park to Close - Jan. 14-21

Posted Friday, January 11, 2019

UPDATE:  Due to weather issues and the "curing" process for the new surface area, the park will be closed until Monday, Jan. 21.  We appologize for the inconvenience.

The Mayor and City Council recently purchased new equipment for 2-5 year-old children in Citadel Park. This equipment should provide a more age appropriate alternative for smaller children. Installation of this new equipment is scheduled to start Monday, January 14, 2019. In addition to the new equipment, several areas of the rubber safety surface will be replaced or repaired. The new surface requires a minimum of 2 days to set and cure. Unfortunately, that means Citadel Park will remain closed through Saturday, January 19, 2019. We greatly appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding while these upgrades and repairs are completed.
