UPDATE: We have just received word that the landfill will be open until noon on Friday. This means that we can run the garbage and recycle route on the normal schedule. If your garbage and recycling are normally picked up on Friday, please put your garbage out as usual. If your garbage is not picked up for any reason, the City will pick it up on Monday or as soon as the weather allows.
Due to the approaching storm the City of Forest Acres is closing at noon on Wednesday, September 12, until further notice.
The City is also adjusting the sanitation schedule for the rest of the week. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during emergency situations. The sanitation schedule for the rest of the week is as follows.
Tuesday 9-11-18 – Normal Pickup
Thursday 9-13-18 – MOVED to Wednesday 9-12-18
Friday 9-14-18 – MOVED to Monday 9-17-18
Please do not leave debris, rollcarts, or other trash bins on the curb during high winds or heavy rains.
