This bridge remains closed by the SCDOT. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the intersection of Forest Drive and Trenholm Rd. if at all possible to avoid becoming ensnarled in traffic unawares of the necessity of turning away at the last moment. SC DOT has advised the city that inspectors will soon be on site to determine what repairs are going to be necessary to return this important traffic artery to service.
