This year, both Christmas and New Year's Day fall on Thursdays. The city will run sanitation services identically both the week of Christmas and the week of New Year's.
For garbage and recycling, Monday and Tuesday's routes will run on their normal schedule. Thursday's route for garbage and recycling will be collected on Wednesday. There will be no services on Thursday. Friday services will run on their normal schedule.
The yard debris schedule will run as usual on Monday, but Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday will be adjusted to work residents in as needed. This means a residence could be picked up earlier or later than normal to make sure all residences are serviced during the week.
