The City of Forest Acres administrative offices will be closed in observance of the following holidays:
- Christmas Eve - Tuesday, December 24, 2019
- Christmas Day - Wednesday, December 25, 2019
- New Years Day - Wednesday, January 1, 2020
The Sanitation and Recycling pickup schedule for the week of Christmas and the week of New Years will be unchanged, with normal pickups on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday of each week.
We do anticipate an increase in yard debris and bulk pickup. We ask everyone to be patient as our crews try to ensure that all debris is removed in a timely manner. To ensure we can be as efficient as possible with our routes, please remember to break down cardboard boxes before you put them out or in your recycle bin.
The City will also be picking up Christmas Trees for recycling in the weeks following Christmas. To help make the collection process easier for our staff, we ask that you place the tree on the curb next to your yard debris pile. PLEASE DO NOT PUT THE TREES IN THE PILE. We will do our best to collect the trees in a timely manner.
